Request confirms the probs in raising waste, suggest the final contract

Nagpur: The demand committee led by the ruling party leader Avinash Thakre has confirmed irregularities, violations and also improper works by two waste operators – Ag Enviro Infra Projects Private Ltd, and BVG India from their contracts.
The committee has suggested removal of new operators within three months.
The Thakre-LED Committee submitted an inquiry report in sealing to the Mayor of Dayashankar Tiwari, which would hit him for discussion in the next general body meeting Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC).
The general body will decide on the recommendation by the committee consisting of Thakre, BJP Corporator Mahesh Mahajan and Corcress Corporator Nitin Sathawae.
Toi is the first to learn about findings and recommendations made by the request committee.
NMC’s sources told TII, “The Committee asked into allegations of mud mixing with garbage by the operator, causing the financial loss of NMC.
The Committee found the accusation right.
The committee obtained a written report from Corporators from all ten zones regarding the service of both operators.
Almost all The Canporator told the committee that the operator did not collect garbage every day, forcing people to dispose of garbage on the streets and public places.
“The committee also examined several places and operators witnessed not to collect and transport garbage separately.
The committee also learned about violations by operators in the appointment, salary, PF etc.
staff.
Considering all these things, the committee recommends termination of contracts with both operators, said sources.
In the same report, the commissioner of the additional city of NMC Ram Joshi, who is also a member of the committee, was reported to suggest giving one more opportunity to two operators.
“Joshi said NMC had to face legal and financial complications if the operator’s contract was stopped.
Joshi also said it would take a long time for new operators to study the system and execute work,” said the source.
After the allegations of irregularities, violations, and poor quality of work by two operators, the general body has formed the investigation committee in June last year.
TOI repeatedly highlighted the lack of garbage collections every day from households, and failure to collect and transport in separated ways.
On May 2420, Activist Sena Shiv Nitin Tiwari had suspected the operator that mixed mud with garbage, and caused NMC financial losses.
There is no action taken.
On June 28, 20, Nagpur West Mla Vikas Thakre captured one of two operators who mixed mud with garbage in two places in South Nagpur.
Thakre, also the City President’s congress, exposed the same thing as dismantling trash and mud from the truck in the NMC’s bandewadi dumping yard.
He was the first person who demanded the contract termination of two operators.
NMC picked up fine and also published indicating notifications to the operator.
In a meeting of public bodies in June, the leader of the Opposition of Taji Wanve and Sathawae had leveled similar charges, which was one of the reasons for the establishment of the Investigation Committee.
Thakre said, “People face serious problems.
Residents, especially senior citizens cannot walk on the streets because garbage is dumped on the roadside, and the operator is not collected every day.
The city rating also slips into most.
Therefore, both operators Must be overthrown and the actions taken against officials that protect this operator for the past 26 months.
