Request for Caste-Based Census Growing: Kumar Nitish

Patna: Head of Bihar Minister Nith Kumar, a caste-based census voter, on Monday said several political parties in other countries have begun to raise the same demand for caste enumeration and state minister Narendra Modi must make a decision about it.
He also rejected speculation that such a census, where other details of the reverse class (OBC) would be taken besides that the scheduled caste and the scheduled tribe would cause social tensions.
“We recently met PM Modi for this issue.
The leaders of all political parties Bihar have the view that the caste-based census must be carried out in the country because it will benefit everyone.
He listens to everyone’s opinion very carefully.
Now he must make it Decision, “Kumar told reporters.
Led by Kumar, the delegation of 10 parties from Bihar, which included BJP, Met PM Modi in New Delhi on August 23 to encourage a caste-based census that had not occurred in the country since the British government.
Talking with reporters on the sidelines of the weekly public interaction program ‘Janata to Darbar Mein Mukhya Mantri’ in Patna, Nitish Kumar said, “Certain political parties in other countries have also begun to demand a caste-based census in the country.” However, the JD (U) leader did not mention the party.
A number of Uttar Pradesh – Samajwadi Party (SP), Congress, Apna Anupriya Patel, Suheldev Rajbhar Suheldev Bharatiya Party, Sanjay Nishad’s Party and Babu Singh Kushwaha Jan Adhikar – have raised such assembly requests because next year in various countries including.
Some Political Parties Maharashtra and Odisha are also looking for caste-based census scheduled to be held this year.
With the census being a prerogative of the Government of the Government, now it’s up to the center to receive requests.
Statistics about various caste will help in formulating development schemes effectively because many of them have not received benefits in line with their actual population, said Bihar CM recently.
BJP’s leadership has so far not taken categorical attitudes on problems that have been paved by a number of regional parties, many of them rivals in various countries.
There is a view that the caste census will bring mandal politics to the middle of the political stage and can be an effective weapon in the hands of the regional parties to fight the Hindutva board and the welfare of BJP, the twin problems used by the Safron Party to make a breakthrough to the OBC sound bank at the expense of the party State-based party.
Kumar rejected fears that the census of all castes could cause social tensions.
“When legislature (Bihar) passes through the resolution on it, members of all parties and from all caste and religion support it.
There should be no doubt,” he said.
Observing that the findings of the Census of the Socio-Economic Caste conducted during the UPA regime led by the Congress were not published because of “doubts for statistical accuracy”, said Kumar, “the caste-based census will be the interests of the country.” For questions about the increase in gasoline and diesel prices in the country, Kumar said, “The state government is in a constant touch with the central government for this issue.
We try to find a way out”.
Patna has joined the list of state capitals where gasoline prices have crossed RS 100-Mark.
