The blazing heatwave caused by rest in the monsoon and the resurrection in economic activities pushed Indian peak power demand to a new record in Wednesday (Gigawatt) on Wednesday, even as consumption in June rose almost 10% from last year.
Uptick In Demand also set a stage for a new record for energy filled with 4,303 MU (million units) on Monday, a previous record topping from 4,161 MU on April 8, 2021.
The previous record for Puncak requests was at 189.6 GW and achieved at 31 January.
