Rescuers are looking for the EU port for 572 migrants found in the Mediterranean Sea

Marseille: Viking Sea Migrant Rescue Ship urged UE members on Tuesday to allow 572 people to take on the Mediterranean Sea for three days to be brought to land.
The NGO ship carried out one of the biggest rescue in the weeks of night, involving a ship that departed from Libya with 369 men, women and children and it was at risk of reversing.
“Wood ships that cannot be expected like that are launched from Libyan beach have not been encountered by our team in several years,” Ocean Viking operator, Sos Mediterranee, said in a statement.
The operation was the sixth rescue of the Viking Ocean in a few days and brought the total number of migrants into 527.
The previous week, he saved 71 migrants from crowded wooden boats that had departed from Libya, the main departure point for Europe.
“In the midst of the absence of maritime coordination, SOS Mediterranee called on the European Union to immediately coordinate 572 victims to go down in the salvation site,” said Marseille-based Mediterranee Sos, noted that 183 of those who were saved were children.
Since the beginning of summer, the number of crossings has increased when migrants utilize good weather and the sea are quieter, but the number of those lost in the sea also rose.
So far this year, more than 880 migrants have died trying to reach Europe from North Africa, according to international organizations for migration.
SOS Mediterranee said the EU government ignored the actions of search-and-rescue coordinated in an effort to prevent migrants from trying the intersection of Libya which torn war, where they often become victims of organized crime and militia violence.
Libyan authorities were also accused of forcibly returning ships that were intercepted into Libya, even when they were in European waters.
A report of the UN Human Rights Office at the end can urge Libya and the European Union to overhaul their rescue operations, said the existing policy “failed to prioritize the life, safety and human rights” of the people who tried to cross from Africa.
EU countries such as Italy and Malta often refuse to let migrants enter their port, on the grounds that more effort is needed in North Africa to evaluate and regulate migration requests.
