Resident Thane is fully vaccinated by securing a monthly local train trajectory on Wednesday

Thane: A total of 1,394 residents around two lakh were fully vaccinated from Thane registering and securing monthly season tickets for the local train in the first session, on Wednesday, city officials were informed.
The corporation has mobilized 50 staff at all suburban stations that saw nearly 877 applications from Diva, 196 from Diva and the rest from Mumbra and Kalwa.
It can be seen that more than 2.1 lakh is fully vaccinated from the 5.8 lakh receiver which takes the first limit in Thane Corporation.
Of these, the 18-59 age group segment is susceptible to travel and is likely to use the facility consisting of almost 50 percent of which is fully vaccinated here.
About 22,528 of the total 2,49,446 which took the first shot in the age group 18-44 was fully vaccinated while 89,899 from 1,55,484 from the age group 45-59 had taken the second dose until now.
Meanwhile, commuters expressed their excitement and said they would save them a few hours of work and the cost of traveling to and from their workplace.
“I used to spend a lot of money for a fleet taxi and throw almost five hours every day to travel from Diva and Mumbai to work.
I will be able to spend quality time with my family now,” said a commuter.
Activists said it was impossible for many people among vaccinated populations to start traveling by train given the risks involved and said they would continue to use private cars or work from home, if possible.
“Third wave threats that tower large and with trains are known to witness large crowding during rush hour, those who have alternatives to prefer away from the train trip,” said an expert.
Nandkumar Deshmukh, a train activist from Thane, attacked the government by saying the whole process had been complicated and suspended the interests of ordinary people.
“The government must apply the staggered timings for workplaces and ensure the crowd is distributed.
Why discriminate between those who have been vaccinated or not? Also, vaccines are also not available,” he said.
Even when the number of applications in the first half of the first day is comparatively lower than expected, officials expect volume to increase in the coming days.
