Chennai: The Greater Chennai Corporation has urged residents to plant puppies along the roadside, in the park and on open land in their area with civil body approval.
Gagandeep corporate commissioner Singh Bedi held a meeting with representatives from several housing welfare associations on Thursday to make Chennai Greener.
The government and the corporation will recognize and appreciate those who are fine, said Bedi.
“This success lies in the occupants and community participation.
The meeting has been held by RDC at the regional and zone level.
We have established Miyawaki forests as well and want their participation in all these activities and in their maintenance.
We have asked the association to plant at least 500 trees in One year.
The planted anus must be six months old and about 6-8 feet.
They also have to care for them for several months until the rainy season.
After six months, these trees will grow very well, “said Bedi.
He said, “We want to change this into a citizen movement.
Many associations have done this.
We want them to at least care for them for a year.
We will give permission, provide compost generated at the landfill and will provide all support.” ” Also has asked the association to plant only the original species because they will hold the typhoon and flood, “he added.
