Noida: In the midst of a surge in the number of Covid-19 cases in the city, residents of almost a dozen sectors – including sectors 11, 19, 26, 51, 37, 62 and 63 – allegations that noida authorities did not carry out sanitation drives despite complaints from occupants.
Meanwhile, Kavita Jamil, Deputy Chairperson of Arun Vihar Population Welfare Association (Avrwa – Sector 28, 29 and 37), Sanjeev Kumar, Rwa General Secretary for Sector 51 and resident of Vihar Sector 62 and Jalvayu Vihar Sector 25 complained that no sanititis was taken Place in their recent sectors, residents of Sector 33 said that the sanitation drives carried out in their area were mere formalities.
Jamil said that there were 84 Covid-19 patients in Arun Vihar at this time while Jalvayu Vihar had 63 active cases at home isolation.
“Whatever the sanitization carried out is nothing compared to the requirements of three large sectors and spread in broad areas,” Jamil said.
While sector 33 residents demanded a planned sanitation drive schedule in the area.
