Residents: Noida does not do sanitation drives

Noida: In the midst of a surge in the number of Covid-19 cases in the city, residents of almost a dozen sectors – including sectors 11, 19, 26, 51, 37, 62 and 63 – allegations that noida authorities did not carry out sanitation drives despite complaints from occupants.

Jamil said that there were 84 Covid-19 patients in Arun Vihar at this time while Jalvayu Vihar had 63 active cases at home isolation.
“Whatever the sanitization carried out is nothing compared to the requirements of three large sectors and spread in broad areas,” Jamil said.
While sector 33 residents demanded a planned sanitation drive schedule in the area.
“Officials concerned are asked to plan the same schedule and circulate the same for all RWA so that monitoring can be done.
We also request the federation of the Noida Resident Welfare Association (Fonrwa) to coordinate with the Department of Public Health Authority for Chotk Out and streamline this important exercise as it is done in The past during the second wave, “said a resident.
KK Jain, Secretary General of Fonrwa, has asked the Public Health Department of the Noida authority to terminate the concerned RWA where they plan to drive sanitation and coordinate with the RWA sector in this exercise for better results.
