Hubbali: Residents of Rajadhani Colony at Namrata Park, Malagouda Chawl, who were under Ward 35 of Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC) on Thursday gathered near BairideVarkoppa to protest the apathy of all their political parties.
Unatisfied residents have decided to boycott the election to the HDMC Board to protest their neglect of localities by parties that cut the political spectrum.
The residents also installed posters and boards established, told the candidates of all parties not to enter their homes looking for support.
Prabhu Mundagod, a resident of Kolony Rajadhani, told Tii, “Our Ward consists of three large colonies, one of which is ours.
But our locality has witnessed no development over the years now.
Our Ward faces many problems, and though it is One more luxurious area, does not have a basic facility.
“There is no street light that says that the lack of the right road that connects the ward to another of Hubballi-Dharwad is the main problem.
The number of street lights was inadequate, which resulted in the remaining plots in the dark for a better part of the night.
“There is a lot of fears among people because of the lack of street lights; women, in particular, afraid of their homes.
Eve-teasing incidents have been reported in the ward too.
Waterlogging is a common problem in the ward due to the lack of systematic drainage networks,” Mundagod said.
The resident has repeatedly appealed to HDMC officials, and filed a memorandum to local canporators and even MLA, but it didn’t work.
Nearly 500 voters in the area have decided unanimously to train their franchise in the upcoming election to the HDMC Board, to express their anger with selected representatives.
Representatives condemned that selected representatives rarely appeared in their area after elections.

The road is not feasible for travel, and even the ambulances struggle to travel on the road.
Our pleasure repeatedly to repair the damaged road has not produced the desired results.
So, we have decided to boycott the selection of times This, “Kazar said.
