Mumbai: Those under the age of 18 who are not vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus will be allowed to enter the mall in Mumbai from Sunday.
However, all adults will be asked to have two doses of vaccines and loopholes 14 days after that to enter the mall.
However, the mall staff can enter the mall even if they only have one dose of their Covid-19 vaccination.
“All shops and companies must display the vaccination status of all their employees clearly state how many staff take the first dose and when the second dose is due.
Because there is no vaccination for them under 18, we cannot prevent them from going to the mall,” said Commissioner of the city of Iqbal Chahal.
Chahal said that nightclubs and disco would continue to survive.
“All places operating beyond 10 nights will remain closed.
I have made these suggestions to the state government and they will include them,” Chahal said.
The Maharashtra government on Wednesday allowed the mall to reopen with a capacity of 50 percent of August 15 for people who were fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
The Minister of Health of Rajesh Tope said that people could visit the mall just 14 days after they took their second dose.
The setting of shops and restaurants has also been extended until 10pm.
Previously, shops and restaurants were allowed to operate only until 8pm and 4pm.
The state government will soon come out with detailed standard operating procedures (SOP) for these companies.
Previously, Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that it would be mandatory for the staff of these companies to be fully vaccinated.
