Resign or call elections? Big decision for Swedish PM

Stockholm: Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven, who lost his voice of confidence last week, faced a striking choice on Monday; To call the Snap selection or resign and trigger a search for successors.
Social Leaders of Democrats – Master of consensus for some people, party parties that are boring and without vision for others – have had seven days since the confidence to secure the majority of parliamenters who support it.
Now, except last minute success in persuading other parties to create a more stable coalition, the choice is very limited.
Lofven 63 years old, a former leader of welder and trade union with Build Square and Nose of a boxer, guided Sweden who returned to power in 2014, and then hung by moving his party closer to the middle after the 2018 general election.
He finally fell with the left party sustaining his administration, became the first Swedish government leader who was defeated by voice without confidence.
The movement has no confidence submitted by Remote Swedish Democrats, after the left party said it planned the movement itself in protest against plans to relieve rental control.
On the left, the proposal for “market rent”, which has the potential to allow landlords to free rent for new apartments, is seen in dispute with the Swedish social model and threats to the rights of tenants.
The conservative moderate party and Christian Democrats were quick to support the movement, which was passed by 181 parliamentarians in parliament 349 seats.
The last attempt to calm the left party, which holds 27 seats, failed.
Critics described the constellation as “non-holy alliances” by the parties at the opposite end of the political spectrum.
After 11 votes unsuccessful in the history of modern Swedish politics, Lofven, who previously distinguished himself with his ability to survive the political crisis, so that he finally determined an unwanted precedent.
Every poll will be held in addition to the general election scheduled for September 202, which will produce two ballots in just more than a year.
If Lofven chooses for new elections, they will become the first snap poll in the country since 1958.
According to IPSOS polls published on Tuesday, rights and far will come out above in general elections, with a very lean parliamentary majority.
, If Lofven chose to resign, it would be up to the parliamentary speaker Andreas Norlen to open negotiations to find new prime ministers.
It could open the way for the moderate party leader ULF Kristersson to assume the office, according to Expressen Daily’s’s Patrik Kronqvist.
The process can also be slow.
Norlen must consult each party before proposing new PM.
The parliamentary speaker must then receive support from 175 deputies for his choice.
If he fails to do it, it will return to the general election.
