Hyderabad: Even when the number of omicron variants in the state increases, administration is secretly preparing for the next Covid-19 wave, including preparing a doctor on the use of oxygen and maintaining oxygen audits.
At a recent high-level meeting, the authorities say steps such as keeping doctors to stewilize oxygen treatment begins to prepare them for any possibility because the highest peak case one day can touch 20,000 (during the Delta variant outbreak, it’s 10,000 cases) .
During the second wave, the state received around 10 oxygen tankers from the center, while a private company gave eight other oxygen tankers to the state.
However, after the second wave receded, the tanker was returned.
Officials are now considering bringing them back for the next wave of preparation.
At present, officials believe there is no reason for caring for children because there has been no increase in cases among children in the world.
“As part of the preparation, treatment and supply of oxygen given the highest priority in all districts.
Doctors are trained in administration and use of oxygen.
Three doctors will be trained in each district with the best use of oxygen, reducing waste and maintaining a hospital oxygen audit.
They are in stewardship Oxygen, “official said.
Authorities say all the extraordinary bills for medicine and other health supplies in the hospital must be cleaned to avoid disruption to oxygen inventory as long as the possibility of a surge in omicron cases.
Officials also intend to conduct reality checks on the bed and other facilities at the hospital.
“Strict examinations will be carried out on numbers described and the availability of actual beds in hospitals,” said an official.
A group of officials constantly monitor the global trend of Omicron and take into account the Indian Medical Research Council and the Guidelines for the World Health Organization regularly.
Furthermore, district medical health workers and collectors were authorized to declare the district hospital for Covid-19 treatment if the number of cases increased by more than 10 percent.
