Nagpur: Former Head of Chief of India (CJI) Sharad Bobde said he was very honored to accept the Doctor of Law (LLD) from Nagpur University during the 108th meeting on Friday.
Even though this is LLD both, he told the Toi that he was more satisfied because of the fact that it was awarded by his alma mater in recognition of his work.
“I have an old relationship with this historic institution, since I graduated in 1977-78 from the University College of Law (now, Dr.
Ambedkar Law College).
When you graduate, you never think that you will reach a stage where the University will give You’re honored one day, “he said.
When the judge could not attend the event held at the Convoary Hall for health reasons, his son Shrinawas, who flew specifically from Delhi on Thursday, was handed over to the prestigious title.
Added that it was a proud moment for him to accept the honor, Justice Bobde thanked NU authorities and former Supreme Court Judge Vikas Sirpurkar, who agreed to lead the ceremony.
“It’s indeed a great feeling when you remember the extraordinary talent of this university has turbulent for years.” Justice Bobde was previously given the ‘LLD Honyis Causa’ by Chennai based in Tamil Nadu Dr.

“When I received the first LLD from the University of TN in 2019, I often use questions when I will get it from NU, which is my own university.
