New Delhi: Retail Inflation is held above the level of 6% in June as price pressure across food, fuel and some services remain sturdy, while industrial output growth soars on the back of the basic effects in May.
Data issued by the National Statistics Office (NSO) on Monday showed retail inflation measured by the consumer price index rose 6.3% annually in June, almost similar to the previous month’s level.
The food index rose to 5.2% during the month, up from 5% the previous month.

Food inflation and drinks at a height of seven months 5.6%.
Economists associate the price of stubborn food to supply disorders, higher transportation costs and increasing demand.
Experts estimate the RBI to continue its policies to support the ongoing growth and process of recovery for now.
Separate data released by the NSO showed that the growth of industrial output grew 29.3% annually could be compared with 134.6% in April due to a low base last year.
