New Delhi: Retail Inflation Based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for September fell to 4.35 percent due to 5.3 percent recorded in August, data issued by the government showed on Tuesday.
Moderation in inflation figures mainly because it moderates food prices that compensate for a surge in crude oil and fuel.
The inflation number remains in the Comfortable Zone of Bank of India (RBI) reserves for the third consecutive month.
RBI is mainly a factor in retail inflation while arriving at its bi-monthly monetary policy.
