Five gang members, including a retired ABDUL RASHEED and a woman, wiped at Ammini’s house at 8 am and beat the duo of the mother’s son using the iron rod.
The attack was suspected of retaliation of Sreekumar who filed a complaint to the police that Abdul Rasheed Amal’s son, an advocate, illegally built a building in the land of rice he bought to the east of the Chavara police station.
After this, district sub-collectors inspect the building and find construction as illegal and submit reports to the district collector in this case.
The collector then issued an order to destroy the building.
But, the son of Abdul Rasheed Amal submitted a request to the government to review the command of the collector.
However, the government also upholds the district collector command.
So the attack was suspected of being revenge against Sreekumar to file a complaint with the police.
Karunagappely police had taken Abdul Rasheed to detention.
