Gurugram: The work of Revamp between Honda Chowk Hero and Umang Bhardwaj Chowk is likely to be completed only in 2023, according to the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).
NHAI officials started work on November 24 and will take 24 months to solve it.
Revamp is part of a larger project to make unlimited links between Honda Chowk and Dwarka Expressway Hero.
While Nhai is conducting a gradation of stretching 2.2 km among Honda Honda Chowk and Umang Bhardwaj Chowk, the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) is developing a 3.6 km road between Umang Bhardwaj Chowk and Dwarka Expressway.
The entire project involved the construction of the libitan in Bawai Chowk and Umang Bhardwaj Chowk, a railroad bridge near the village of Barai and underpass in The Khandsa Crossing.
In addition, stretching between Umang Bhardwah Chowk and Dwarka Expressway will widen.
While GMDA has started their work in 2018, the portion of Nhai’s work was detained due to change.
The independent revamp plan was then added to the construction work of highway 44 km between Pataudi and Rewari.
Stretching between Umang Bhardwaj Chowk and Dwarka Expressway will be a shortcut to this highway, starting from the 88A sector and ending at the Pataudi road intersection.
After changes, the portion of Nhai’s work was detained due to the delay in recitation of clearing by Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) and the transfer of the required land.
“We have started working in a stretch of Pataudi to REWARI via HERO Honda Chowk and Umang Bhardwaj Chowk.
Construction began on November 24, and we hope to complete work within 24 months,” said a senior Nhai official who did not want to be named.
Meanwhile, working on stretching between Umang Bhardwaj Chowk and Dwarka Expressway, according to GMDA, is approaching completion.
Officials said the construction ban prevented them from meeting December deadlines, but they hoped to complete work in March next year.
About two months of work abandoned, said a senior GMDA official.
“The work has been postponed because of the construction ban that has existed since last month.
We are still doing work on repairing trains, some flyover approaches, and one sewer,” said a senior GMDA official who did not want to be named.
“Everything is combined, we hope to complete work in March.”
