WASHINGTON: US President Joe Biden said on Wednesday he had asked the National Economic Council to work to reduce the cost of energy and the Federal Trade Commission to boost market manipulation in a larger energy sector to reverse inflation.
The President of the Democrats said he was committed to Federal Reserve’s independence in his efforts to fight inflation.
“Inflation hurts Americans, and reversing this trend is a top priority for me,” he said in a statement.
