Review meet settings to overcome Zika virus infection

Times News Network Kanpur: Given the necessary guidelines about Zika’s virus infection provided by the Chairman of the Yogi Adityanath Minister at a review meeting in the city on Wednesday, the Division Commissioner Raj Shekhar on Thursday held a meeting and gave instructions.
In Kanpur and Kannauj administrative officials, Health and Citizenship of Kannauj included, District Judges, Development Officers, CMOS, Pnachayat Regency Raj Officers and Commissioners of Kota KMC and Medical Supervisory Chief, Joint Hospital and Kanshi Ram Trauma.
Kannauj district officials participated in the meeting virtually.
Medical Supervisory Chief, Hospital with Kanshi Ram and Trauma, Kanpur Nagar said that Ward Zika who was dedicated from 40 beds had been established in hospitals, which currently functioned and adequate the number of medical officers and other staff have been deployed in the environment.
He added, “In addition to the above, it is directed that effective actions must be taken to make an elevator, which does not function today, functional immediately.” Commissioner of Kota Kanpur stated that currently six KMC wards are influenced by the Zika virus and sanitation and drive fogging is being carried out there regularly.
“It is also intended that the sanitation and fogging process must be ascertained in other city wards as well,” he said.
District Pancrayat Raj Officer, Kanpur Nagar / Kannauj is directed to ensure that sanitation and fogging must be done and adequate cleanliness is provided in rural areas.
Surveillance was conducted to identify all pregnant women and their samples must be collected for the Zika test.
DM Kanpur Nagar was informed that the sample of several women identified during the survey had not been collected after it was directed that the sample of all the remaining pregnant women had to be collected and sent for testing in 2-3 days.
It was also intended that city corporation and the Ministry of Health had to make sure to make stains aware of the steps to prevent Zika infection through handbill in an affected area based on priority.
The source supervision and detection team must also store the specified checklist through which information received during the survey is recorded.
The source detection team must explain the general method of prevention of diseases and reducing sources to household members and obtaining their checklist signed in this regard.
Meanwhile, district judges, Kannauj said that there were only 1 case of Zika’s infection in this district.
“So far, 212 samples have been sent to Kgmu Lucknow, where 164 reports have been received, where only one case was found positive,” said DM Kannauj further.
Furthermore, the DM said that the number of adequate beds with mosquito nets has been booked in college medical, Kannauj and all public health centers.
“Along with this, the process of cleaning, sanitation and fogging occurred in the district,” he said.
The division Commissioner said, “We have directed that in the first phase, physical and virtual sensitization technology must be held with the principal of all basic, medium and high education institutions in affected areas on Saturday or Sunday.”
