Revision of traffic fines after system updates: COP

Nagpur: Even though the Maharashtra government has announced that a fine for various traffic violations, including driving a two-wheeled vehicle without a helmet and driving four-wheeled vehicles without a seat belt, will increase, Nagpur traffic police have not received any communication about it.
But Senior PI Jagvendrasingh Rajput said, “When the amount is smoothly updated in our system, it will be implemented automatically.” Traffic experts welcome moving.
MP and Vice President of Jalan Safety Committee MP Dr.
Vikas Mahatme said that the Minister of Transportation Union Nitin Gadkari has changed the MV law in 2019 only to save lives in an accident on the road.
“Fines have increased not to generate income,” he said.
Mahathme urges riders to comply with MV actions that have been framed for their safety.
Traffic experts and members of Janakrosh Ashok Karandikar said the increase would act as a deterrent for motorists “only then violations can be locked up”.
“There should also be a system to ensure 100% recovery from fine,” he added.
The carandikar also shows that the enforcement of regulations and traffic regulations must apply all the time.
At present, violators are fined only during traffic police hours (9am to 7:00 p.m.
or at 8pm).
At present, a fine for driving helmy-right is Rs 500 and without a 200 rs seat belt.
According to traffic police data, from January 1 to October 27, each 1.91,920 and 41,092 two wheel drivers and four wheels, have been punished.
Although the police took action and in 10 months around 7,77,935 offenders were punished for various traffic violations and RS 9.95 Crore recovered well, had failed to reduce violations.
