Rajkot: Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) aggressively began marking livestock lost in an effort to curb their threats on the streets of the city.
The Civic body has bought a 4,000 RFID tag (radio frequency identification) and started a large drive to mark Bovine from Wednesday.
Until Thursday night, Civic’s body staff had marked 92 animals.
The RMC Livestock Disorder Control Department (CNCD) will approach livestock owners to give their animal RFID prizes.
RMC has made it mandatory for livestock farmers to get curious about their animals if they want to save them within city limits.
Tags will provide details of livestock owners if animals are often found on the city road.
Livestock owners who do not have space to keep their animals not allowed to carry their livestock in the RMC jurisdiction.
They must be stored in an animal shelter outside the city limits.
