Varanasi: Reserve Inspector (RI) Ravindra Singh on Thursday was suspended for allegedly threatening the additional supervisor of the police (operation) of Anil Kumar with Casteist slur following the argument for an official material in Chandauli on July 27.

IG reached Chandauli on Wednesday morning and after recording ASP statement, RI and other people concerned finished their investigations late at night.
During his investigation, IG found that after ASP (Operation) Chandauli detected irregularities in the record of the police line, the heated argument occurred between him and RI.
When the dispute took place in a closed room where only ASP and RI were present and both of them were seriously allegedly flattened each other, IG had to exercise hard in gathering the details of the incident.
When contacted, IG he said that based on the findings of detailed investigations, RI was suspended and the actions of the department were also ordered.
