Ride on covid patients in the ventilator

Ludhiana: In a worrying sign for health authorities in Ludhiana, there has been a substantial increase in the number of Covid-19 patients in the support of ventilators in hospitals in the district.
Although the number of ventilators occupied and most of the ventilators were not inhabited, the increase in patients who needed medical eqipment had increased sharply, from no patients on 7 to five January on January 12, nine from January 16, 16 on January 17.
On January 3, or January 18, 16 people were at the ventilator support.
Of the 16 ventilor patients, 11 came from the district, while the remaining patients came from the district and other states.
Overall, Ludhiana Hospital has 274 ventilators, where 18 is in government facilities.
Data for January showed that there were no patients in the ventilator in Ludhiana on January 1 and 2.
On January 3, there was only one patient on the ventilator and its status remained the same until January 6 on January 7, no patient.
The last time was so many Covid patients were in the ventilator in Ludhiana on June 25, when 17 people were in a ventilator.
From them, six came from Ludhiana.
According to data, the number of patients in the support of the ventilator was the highest in Ludhiana on two occasions – May 12 and May 25 last year.
On both days, 64 patients experienced ventilator support at Ludhiana Hospital.
The figure is largely in one digit in other months when cases are not high.
The Ministry of Health official citizes the spread of Covid infection for increasing the number of patients in ventilator support.
The surgeon of Dr.
S P Singh cannot be contacted about increasing the number of patients in the ventilator.
A junior officer, who did not want to be named, said because the number of cases increased, the number of patients in the ventilator also increased.
He added the majority of patients, at this time, had mild to moderate symptoms.
He advised people to follow Covid’s appropriate behavior.
Health department officials say people, especially those who have comorbidity, must be tested on time and report to health facilities without delaying care, so they do not have to reach the stage where they are placed in the ventilator.
They add they have a number of adequate ventilators compared to patients who need these support.
Unit Ludhiana Ima, former President Dr.
Narrotam Board said the increase in the number of patients in the ventilator suggested that Covid could not be taken lightly.
He added that the government did not seem to act against people who did not follow Covid norms even because they could uphold these norms.
He said people had respiratory problems in winter and this was a matter of migration.
Ludhiana district has 17 active micro detention zones.
On January 14, 2,007 people have been tested positively Covid, the highest calculation reported in a day in intentional.
From these people, 1,808 came from the district.
