Jaipur: Dengue has emerged as a big challenge for health authorities, such as only 26 days (October 19 – 13 Nov), as many as 28 people have died of dengue fever.
Until October 18, the number of deaths from dengue fever in the country was 10 but deaths now increased to 38.
In addition, the number of cases reported in 26 days was 7,618, which accounted for 53% of cases of dengue fever reported in the country in 2021 so far .
Jaipur also reported 47% of Dengue cases reported in 2021 until only 26 days.
The state has witnessed the worst dengue outbreak in the past recently in 2019.
At that time, the country had reported 13,706 dengue cases and 17 people had died.
A health department official said that orders have been spent to do more tests for dengue fever to diagnose early cases to prevent motority.
Officials said that they were doing 20,000 dengue tests in the country every day.
The Ministry of Health has directed officials in the district to conduct testing and sampling for prevention of seasonal diseases and dengue fever.
He also directed officials to ensure the availability of kits and testing drugs while conducting a door-to-door survey in an affected area.
Directions have also been spent to coordinate with local bodies in affected areas for fogging, focal spray, larval demonstrations and mosquito net distribution.
He was also directed at monitoring effective control spaces and rapid response teams established in all districts.
According to the SMS Medical College doctor, Dengue has brought many complications, which not only affects platelet counts but also affects various organs in more patients.
Many patients treated in hospitals have symptoms of bloody dengue fever (DHF) and dengue shock syndrome (DSS).
