Jaipur: After Rajasthan Transport Department has become the first in this country to make it mandatory to encourage SIM applicants to declare their willingness or reluctance for the organ declaration, almost 2 Lakh applicants have approved a corpse organ donation between September 2020 and June 2021.
In 2018 State Transport Department includes a new category – ask for applicants if they are organ donors – in an online application for driving SIM updates and for new publishing.

Commissioner of the Department of Transportation Mahendra Soni said, “Rajasthan is the first country to provide the provision of organ donations for students’ licenses too.

In 10 months, people agree to organ donations have increased from 3% to 30%.

“According to the department, a total of 1,90,398 people who signed up for SIM has given their approval for organ donations.
