Jaipur: Amid fears of Covid’s third wave, eight countries have not reported new infections for more than 50 days.
The districts are Bundi, Karauli, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur, Banswara, Dausa, Jaisalmer and Prapagarh.

The country has witnessed a severe and aggressive second wave in April and May and since then the trajectory of a new infection everyday began to fall.

Since July 3, more than 28,000 samples were tested for Covid in Bundi, but not one sample was tested positively.
“Although the case has not been reported in our district for a long time, we are still carrying out more than 3,000 samples,” said Dr.
Mahesh Tripathi, Head of Medical Health Officer (Bundi).
Bundi is one of the three districts who have reported the lowest number of Covid infections.
Dr.
Tripathi said they had won it when they conducted a survey and detected Covid earlier during the second wave and ensured that the patient received care at the house they provided medicines on the doorstep.
Karauli Regency has not reported a new Covid infection for the past 93 days.

Chittorgarh reported the last Covid case on July 23, Dungarpur on July 25 and Banswara at 5.
Dausa and Jaisalmer reported their last case on August 6 and Pratapgarh on August 9 and Baran reported their last case on the date August 25 and August 26.
At present, the state has 20 districts that have no active cases.
In the last 24 hours, one person was found infected with Covid in the state, reported by Jaipur.
There are no deaths reported.
