Jaipur: Helpline For Children’s Mental and Psychosocial Health Support (MHPS), Ummeed, launched in January this year has received at least 40 calls a day from all states since August reported problems such as anxiety, addiction and abuse.
Parents have increased concerns related to changes in behavior of their children because of disorders caused by Covid on their daily routines.
Questions range from phone addiction, concentration into anxiety.
The State Children’s Rights Commission will also launch a mental health awareness campaign from next month.
Rajasthan State Commission for Right Child Protection (RSCPCR) Sangeeta Beniwal said, “We have received reports of all kinds of problems faced by children who include addicted to cellphones, anxiety, labor, and even attacks.

From January 19 to September 30, Helpline was launched by RSCPCR in collaboration with non-governmental organizations, including saving children, has received more than 2,944 calls.
