Jaipur: The head of the Ashok Gehlot minister on Wednesday said children in the age group 12-14 years must be vaccinated immediately.
Overcoming the cabinet meeting, Gehlot said, “Pay attention to my notification that children from two years are increasingly vaccinated in several countries around the world.
Already, children in our country face nutrition related problems.
The central government must immediately make decisions about child vaccination -Cons in the 12-14 age group without further delay.
“During the meeting, the concern of the minister was appointed for the preventive dose given only for 60+ age groups with comorbidity as similar conditions could occur in anyone in any age group.
“The booster dose must be allowed for all age groups.
Also, the time period for the dose of preventive measures must be reduced from nine months now to three or six months,” read the statement.
Health Minister Parsadi Lal Meena told that the country was prepared to handle the third wave.
“Overall, 94.4% of people in the age group of 18 years + have been given the first dose throughout the country while 78% have been given a second shot.
The state performance is far better than the national average.
Vaccination in the age group 15-17 age group has crossed 56.5%, “Meena said.
The Council of Ministers expressed concern over increased levels of participants in this country.
“Only in a week, the level of participants has jumped from 7.61% to 15.52%.
It is important for people to follow the Covid protocol to control the situation,” the official statement said.
Pratap Cabinet Minister Singh Khachariwas said direction instructions had been issued to carry out sampling focused on the district.
“Those who suffer from colds, coughing and colds must be given priority,” said Minister.
