Jaipur: Every public health center (CHC) in the state will have at least 10 oxygen concentrators along with electricity reserves to handle any medical emergency.
Some CHC located far from a civil hospital will have ICU facilities with bipap machines and other medical equipment.
The state has more than 3,500 CHC.
These are some new works added in the Revised Guidelines for MLA LAD funds.
The aim is to take advantage of all funds to improve and strengthen health care at least in the current financial year.
This financial year, the state government has increased the allocation of funds from Rs 2 Crore to Rs 5crore.
It is estimated that RS 600 Crore will be used to improve health.
The Ministry of Health has conducted extensive surveys for existing health care systems and identifies areas where improvements are needed.
They have sent to the rural department who have completed the draft and handed it to the Chief Minister of Ashok Gehlot.
“Every CHC, PHC and other health centers have been evaluated on footsteps, projections in the coming years, facilities, and locations.
After that, the gap analysis has been done to register how to strengthen facilities,” said Siddhart Mahajan, Secretary, Health and Department Family welfare.
