Jaipur: The State Government has prepared a draft draft action plan for the inclusive development of the transgender community and agreed to additional budget requirements around Rs 8.98 Crore for that purpose.
The minister’s chairman has announced the creation of uplackment funds for the transgender community with the initial number of Rs 10 Crore in the state budget of 2021-22.
In this order, on the proposal of the Ministry of Justice and Social Empowerment, it is proposed to form transgender protection cells (cells) in the office of the Director General of State Police.
According to the proposal, the main function of this cell, based on the protection of Transgender Act-2019 rights, is to protect the rights of transgender people (bisexual), in addition to coordinating between the State Transgender Justice Council and the District Transgender Justice Committee.
This cell will work for the prevention and monitoring of crime against transgender and ensuring investigations and prosecution by registration of cases on time.
