Amritsar: With the induction of the caste candidate (SC) scheduled Aruna Chaudhary in the cabinet of Charanjit Minister Chararjit Singh Channi, the Majha Punjab region now has six ministers in the Punjab cabinet.
Chaudhary is the Minister of Social Security, Women and Children in the former Chair of the Captain Amarinder Singh.
Deputy Minister of Chief O P Soni, and Minister of Sukhbinder Singh Sarjaria, and Raj Kumar Verka came from the Amritsar district, while Deputy Chairperson of the Minister of Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Minister of Triders of Rajinder Singh Bajwa and Chaudhary came from Gurdaspur Regency.
In the 2002 assembly election, the Congress has reduced the Chaudhary of the Constitution Constitution of Dinanagar, which he won by 2,682 votes by defeating BJP Sita Ram.
In 2007 the election, Chaudhary lost to the confiscated BJP RAM of 842 votes.
In 2012 and 2017 elections, he won by defeating Bishan Das BJP.
A political analyst from Gurdaspur, Harpreet Singh Hundal, said the move to keep the female minister was quite large.
“Chaudhary induction can be aimed at collecting Dalit and Hindu votes in the Gurdaspur and Pathankot districts during the 2022 elections.
The party has also considered his political heritage as his father-in-law, Jai Muni, is a member of the old congress who remains MLA four times,” he said.
