Rite and Genelia Deshmukh appeared on Marathi songs at the opening ceremony of IFFI 2021.
Genelia appeared for the first time in almost 10 years for ‘Apsara Aali’ from ‘Naterrang’, while the Ritish danced to the song ‘Mauli’.
The couple was there to talk about Marathi Cinema and increase their needs after a pandemic.
Riteish said, “I will ask for Anurag Thakur (Minister I & B) that regional cinema, which is like a younger brother to Hindi cinema, was given incentives and post-pandemic encouragement.
We don’t miss the content, but, of course, we requires commercial strategies and government support to help us exploit our potential.
We need help in planning, display, and presentation of our films; it will make a lot of differences.

Minister I & B recently stated the commitment of the government’s syeadfast to make India back generator content and the center of post-production.

The Minister also describes the vision of a progressive and ambitious government for IFFI.
“Our government’s vision for IFFI is not limited to one event, but what should be done if India celebrates the 100th year of independence”.
