Patna: RJD on Friday hit JD (U) and BJP because it did not take concrete steps for special status to Bihar.
RJD said the Mitra NDA was responsible for poor state conditions and differences in their statement on special status is nothing but “noora-kushti”.
Overcoming Medoderpon at RJD Headquarters here, spokesman for Party Chitranjan Gagan, Mritunjay Tiwari, Ejaz Ahmad and Abha Rani accused two of the NDA partners only did politics on behalf of development.
Gagan said it was CM Nitish Kumar who said he would not join hands with those who would not provide special status to Bihar.
“After forming the Government, the NDA partner has claimed that the government of the double engine will work for the development of the state.
The reality is that both JD (U) and BJP have not let Bihar get special status during bifurkasi,” Gagan said, given how RJD has increased this problem though It was not powerful when Jharghnad was carved from Bihar.
BJP State spokesman Prem Ranjan Patel rejected the accusation of RJD and said the center had provided funds to Bihar under special packages.
“However, it is true that the type of development that should occur has not happened.
We discuss it with our alliance partners.
As far as regarding special status requests, it will be given when the provisions in this case are made.”
