Agra: Member of Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) Yogesh Nuhwar refused to attract his nomination from the Maant seat at Mathura after being given a B-form.
He has submitted nominated letters as a candidate for the RLD-SP alliance on Monday, but SP then gave a ticket to Sanjay Bush.
RLD Chairman Jayant Chaudhry then asked Nauhwar to take the Coda back but the last to behave Adamant.
Talking to Toi, Nuhwar said, “I will not pull my nomination, and if the party has a problem with my nomination, they can attract my symbol.” Nauhwar is an influential leader in this region and takes part in the farmers’ protest too.
At the social media post, Nuhwar stated, “Play Janata to Sharan Mein Hoon (I have shelter among people).” The President of the SP Lokmanikan Jadon said the chair had been decided before.
Two should be allocated to SP and three to RLD.
“The confusion was made by RLD leader just,” he said.
Data shows that this constituency is dominated by JATS, because more than 1 Lakh voters from the community are the highest among the main caste.
Brahmana, with a population of 45,000, is the second largest group, followed by the Baghel community at 40,000.
The population of Thakurs and Vaishyas were 25,000, Muslims at 20,000, and Gurjar at 15,000.
“Others” are 40,000 in number.
Maant’s seat was won by Shyam Sundar Sharma eight times in a row.
In the 2017 Election Assembly, he won from BSP tickets.
He has been fighting from this constituency since 1989 from various parties.
However, he lost in 2012 against the head of RLD Chaudhry but won the next election because the latter emptied his chair.
So far, RLD has lowered three candidates, Tejpal Singh from Chhata, Preetam Singh from Govardhan, Babita Devi from Baldeo (SC).
SP has lowered two – former MLA from Sadabad Devendra Singh from Mathura (city) and foam from Maant.
However, confusion still continues in the perish alliance.
