But screening remains porous in Chennai Egmore and Chennai central train station.
It seems like playback of travelers is different from one transportation mode to another.
The leaflets were checked for a vaccine or RT-PCR certificate when they were out of flight while those who came through roads were checked for newspapers at the checkpoint.
But, it’s easier to skip screening at the train station even though one train carries almost 800 to 1,000 passengers.
Passengers who reached the Eggore train station on the morning train from Kollam were not checked on Thursday.
People walked out through three station entrances without being stopped.
