Patna: The ambitious train plan to build the main multi-unit electricity terminal (memory) terminal in Piging Park Land in Patna in Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus pattern is likely to get momentum with the Patna High Court recently enabling the state government to transfer Land, measuring around 4.5 hectares, to the train for the expansion of patna junction.
Welcoming moved the High Court, the head of Public Relations Relations (CPRO) Rajesh Kumar said the railways has prepared a blueprint for building the infrastructure for the terminal memu.
“The train has planned to develop a rail network vertically on a plot of land.
This area will be developed from a commercial standpoint,” he said.
The train will build office complexes and other utilities, including ticket booking centers, in the proposed terminal.
Multi-floor buildings will also be built on the ground.
According to CPRO, initial consultation with technical experts focusing on the need to develop “crowd management programs” in Pigay Park land.
“The proposed terminal would be located close to the main road leading to Patna Junction and other prime locations in the city.
The railway intends to build a multi-purpose terminal, ensuring a smooth flow of traffic during peak hours,” he said.
Kumar added at least four double-discharge platforms to be built on twrminals.
He said the train also urged BSNL to submit a small piece of land adjacent to the Pigarter Park for the proposed.
“BSNL has approved the principle to hand over the land,” said CPRO.
Train manager Division Danapur Prabhat Kumar said the proposed terminal will be decongest patna junction.
“The biggest advantage is that all passenger trains will come from and end from the Piging Park terminal instead of Patna Junction,” he said, adding trains to run several pairs of passenger trains in JHJHA-Patna-Buxar-PT Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Patna -What, Danapur-Rajgir, Patna-Sasaram and Route Patna-Sonepur.
The train has urged the state government to hand it over to the land of land as a substitute for land transfers Patna Sahib-Patna Ghat Land measuring around 19 hectares.
