Ranchi: Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) has asked the cable operator in the city to remove the cable that depends on the electricity pole in the next 72 hours.
In September this year, the Civic Agency has served notifications to cable companies and customers and strives to find out if they have obtained RMC permission to use an electric pole to hang the cable.
“Poland electricity is under the State Electricity Department but the land is under RMC’s jurisdiction.
There are cables that hang throughout the city and they often lead to accidents, sometimes fatal,” Kunwar Singh Pahan, Deputy Commissioner of the City of RMC, told Toi when asking that reason.
“For example, there is a nude cable hanging on the main road that can cause an accident.
So it’s important to cut unauthorized cables,” added it.
This step is in accordance with Section 126 of Jharkhand Municipal Act, 2011 where there are provisions regarding vesting property and the municipality have ordered three notifications after the Jharkhand High Court mandate.
