Ranchi: The Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) has transferred a proposal to the state urban development department to build two new shelters for homeless people.
One of the shelters has been proposed near the Ranchi train station in Chutia, while the others in the Harmu Kartik Oraon Chowk.
There are 55 houses where they live in Jharkhand at this time.
“We’ve run 10 houses where they need in Ranchi.
Next, we have proposed two new night shelter places, one for men and others for women.
Each will accommodate 20 beds,” said an RMC state official It has a 55 night shelter with 1,581 beds.
Shelter provides free food along with free bath and toilet facilities.
