RMC starts cleaning encroachment in the city

Ranchi: Acting in the recent direction of the Jharkhand High Court, Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) and the district administration on Thursday began an anti-encroachment boost to get rid of the structure built in the catchment area in the city.
Officials have identified a total of 119 structures on the banks of the River Harmu and in the catch area of ​​the Kanke Dam and they will be destroyed in the next two weeks.

On Thursday, they removed 23 illegal structures located on the banks of the Harmu river and Kanke Dam.
Speaking with Toi, Argora Circle Officer, Arvind Kumar Ojha, said: “A total of 81 structures have been identified in my area which illegally appear in areas side by side with the banks of the Bhusur river.
We have issued a notification to them all and after they fail to eliminate Their illegal structure.
We have removed the total 18 in the Hinoo area.

“In the Kanke area, 15 illegal structures located near the dam are issued.
“We have identified a total of 38 structures in my area, where 15 has been destroyed and the 19th break will also be completed within a week,” said an official.
Meanwhile, the senior official team consisting of Ranchi DC Chhavi Ranjan and Commissioner RMC Mukesh Kumar visited the Harmu Stretch River near Mukti Dham in Birsa Munda Munda Rajpath in the morning and examined the measurements made by government officials at the location.
Some multi-floor buildings have been built on both sides of the River Harmu and officials say that if there are buildings found in the water catchment area to be destroyed.
Meanwhile, the district administration team had to face the anger of the people in the new Nagar Bandhu area in Hinoo where about eight structures, which included several houses, were destroyed on Wednesday.

“I have bought 2.5 decimal land in Bandhu Nagar for Rs 2.5 lakh and has lived here for more than seven years.
I have bought land because it’s much cheaper than what I get in other parts of the city,” said Surendra Singh whose house is also destroyed during eviction.
Vinita Kumari said that they did not know that it was government land and intermediaries said that the land belonged to them so they bought it.
