RMC to Provide Rs 1,000 subsidy for Bicycle Buy

Rajkot: In the event of World Bicycle Day, Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) gathered out the strategy to offer Rs 1,000 subsidy for individuals buying bicycles and Rs 5,000 for individuals looking for e-bikes.
RMC also made a decision to cover this subsidy with all the effect to people who weren’t qualified for cycle subsidy before according to last year principle.
After the plot was initiated a couple of decades back, just 1 man of a household was entitled for subsidy.
But now it’s made a decision to deposit Rs 1,000 from the accounts of different folks of the identical household who elect for this particular green mode of transportation using retrospective effect.
All those who’ve bought bikes after July 15, 2019 will be qualified for subsidy.
Starting this fiscal year, the civic figure started supplying a Rs 5,000 subsidy to people who purchase e-bikes in sequence, which really go a very long way in reducing vehicular pollution.
RMC had declared Rs one crore at the 2019-20 funding and Rs 30 lakh from the 2020-21 funding for promoting biking.
RMC has paid Rs 45 lakh subsidy into 4,500 beneficiaries at the previous two fiscal years while from the present calendar year, it’s declared a budget of Rs 50 lakh with this strategy.
