Gurgaon: The Chairman of Manohar Minister Lal Khattar was directed on Thursday the District Administration to complete the improvement of all roads damaged by rain over the past few months on November 30.
Khattar, who took the lead through a video conference with the Division Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of the Chandigarh headquarters, was looking for details of the arterial and national highway roads in the city that was damaged during the monsoon and steering the administration to accelerate the repair work on all affected stretches.
“CM issued a clear instruction that all road construction agents had to prepare their schedules and ensure the improvement of all damaged roads on November 30,” said Deputy Commissioner Yash Garg.
Khattar also discussed problems such as burning propellers and timely fertilizer availability to the farmers at the meeting, officials said.
Meanwhile, officials from the Department of Public Works and Agriculture Marketing Council Haryana (HSAMB) said they had started repair work and would solve the same thing in the specified time.
A PWD official told Ti that improving the ruling of the state highway 36.82 km, main district roads (20.19 km), and other district roads (around 192 km) have begun and are expected to be completed on November 15.
More than 88 roads, covering a total area of ​​around 234 km, in the district fall under the jurisdiction of the agricultural marketing board.
Of these, at least 23 roads, which stretch more than 50 km, are in bad condition and are being repaired, the council said.
