Robber forced biker in Chennai to E-Pay RS 13,000

Chennai: Everyone swears with a digital wallet lately, even robbers in Chennai! Three of them on Monday night forced their poor victims to transfer RS ​​13,000 to one of their bank accounts using GPay.

Police said Ajit Kumar, 24, Kalaignar Nagar in Kunrathur, was on his way to meet a friend at Poonamallee when a well-dressed man marked it in Avadi and asked for an elevator.
The man told him that there was no autorickshaws and that he would go down further on the road.

A few kilometers further, two men standing on the roadside waved them to stop.

The robbers cut Ajith Kumar with a knife, draw blood and grabbed the phone.
They then checked whether Ajith Kumar had a GPay on his phone.
They forced him to use passwords and transfer whatever money he had in his account, namely RS13,000, police said.
An investigative officer said the three men did not even ask for cash but immediately checked whether he had a GPAY.
The three then pushed Ajit Kumar from the road and fled with his bicycle with his cellphone.
Ajith Kumar managed to reach out the AVADI police station with the help of a passer who passed and filed a complaint.
The police have launched a hunt for robbers using the details of bank accounts whose money is transferred and recorded from CCTV cameras.
