Ludhiana: Four gunmen wiped into the elderly couple’s house in Sbs Nagar, threatened them and escaped with Rs 45,000 on Friday morning.
The elderly man, who is also the elected president of his location – Kabeer Cooperative House Building Society Stuping – will go to walk in the morning at 5 in the morning when the incident happened.
Police Dugri has registered a case against the four unknown accusations, in the complaint of Paramjeet Singh, 76.
Paramjeet said he lived with his wife at home.
In accordance with his daily routine, he will go to walk early at 5 am.
But when he reached near the main gate of the house, four men entered the house, scaling the boundary wall.
The defendant wore a mask and was armed with sharp-eyed weapons.
He claimed that the defendant took him into the house and filled a piece of cloth in his wife’s mouth and his wife to stop them from lifting alarms.
The defendant then opened almyirah and began to look for cash and valuables.
The defendant spent about half an hour and continued to deploy almyirah one by one.
They took cash 35,000 from Almirah and Rs 10,000 in my wallet.
When he escaped, the defendant also took the key to the house and car.
Surinder Chopra Inspector, Sho, Dugri Police Station, said CCTV cameras were installed at home, but the defendant took DVR.
Cases have been registered and the police scan more CCTV cameras installed in the region to track the defendant.
