Rajkot: Thieves steal valuables worth almost Rs 5 lakh from two-storey houses where two siblings lived with their families on two floors of houses in the Satellite Chowk Rajkot area.
According to Ashwin Solanki’s complainant, who was a Videographer, Rs 2.8 Lakh was stolen from his sister’s house Piyush on the first floor, while the thieves flaped with RS 2.2 lakh cash and ornaments worth RS 21,000 from his home on the ground floor.
Theft occurred on night intervention January 19, 19 and 20 when the two families went to attend a religious event in the Kubaliyapara area, said BB Koriyatar, sub-inspector, police station B-Division.
