The accusation of Murderer Robert Dürst, the heirs of Multimillionaire Real Estate, returned to the witness standing on Wednesday at the Los Angeles County County Superior Court, testifying in his own defense on charges of killing Confidante Susan Berman.
Testifying from the wheelchair and wearing a La County prison uniform and Shield’s face, Durst answered questions from his lawyer, Dick Deguerin about his relationship with Berman and his wife Kathy.
He is expected to undergo a cross examination from the prosecutor later.
On Monday, Durst, 78, denied killing Berman and said he did not know who did it.
Dürst, the grandson of a Manhattan real estate of the crossbar, appeared weakly at the witness standing up and talking with a voice weakened from surgery for esophageal cancer, it sounded far different from men with new York accents who were confidently known by viewers in the 2015 Documentary film series “The Jinx “On HBO.
Durst was charged with the murder of Berman December 2000, a writer was accused of shooting because of what he might know about unresolved loss and presented the murder of his first wife, Kathleen McCormack Durst, in the previous two decades.
Berman, 55, found killed at Beverly Hills’s house after the police in New York reportedly reopened the investigation into the fate of Durst’s wife, who was a medical student when he disappeared in 1982.
“The Jinx” examined Berman and McCormack cases and liberation Durst 2003 in murder and cutting a neighbor in Texas.
When photographing a documentary, Durst caught a microphone apparently claimed, said to himself: “That’s him, you are caught,” and, “What did I do?” Defendants rarely testify when describing them to carry out cross-examination.
Durst’s lawyer seems to try to show his weakness to the jury.
