Hyderabad: A total of 6,292 companies in Telangana have been hit by the Hyderabad company (ROC) registrar because it failed to submit a compulsory and balance sheet return for the past two years.
In addition, at least 15,000 directors facing disqualification as a company they represented failed to propose a return to the ROC from the Corporate Affairs Ministry in the last three years.
ROC has served notifications to these companies in November and has given them a month for submission of annual returns.
ROC has excluded companies that float by the state and central government from strikes.
Non-banking finance companies (NBFCs) and Nidhi companies are also maintained out of the list.
“Most of the directors of the company did not know that they had to file annual returns and balance sheets with ROC.
They are under the impression that the submission of income tax and return on GST will be sufficient.
Another important aspect is that some companies cannot do any business due to lack of investment and Not submitting a return on annual, “said a corporate ministry official.
Meanwhile, around 5,000 more companies failed to propose the start of the operation would soon be presented by a notification by ROC.
“The declaration must be submitted in the Form Inc.-20A in 180 days in the incorporation of the company regarding the start of the business.
Some start-ups failed to submit this.
There are around 5,000 more companies as identified in Telangana,” said an official of the Corporate Affairs Affairs.
