‘Rocket comes, hit a car full of children’: US drone strike destroys Kabul’s family

Kabul: When Ezmarai Ahmadi returned home starting from work on Sunday night in Kabul, Gengli kids screaming who usually waited to welcome him – son and daughter, and lots of nephews.
He pulled his white sedan to a simple home entrance in Kwaja Burga, a densely populated environment in the northwest of the capital of Afghanistan, and handed the key to the oldest son for parking.
Young children piled into the vehicle – pretending to the parking routine was adventure – while Ezmarai watched from the side.
Then came out of the Afghan blue sky, the missile came squealing – hitting the car with a terrible power and eliminating the life of 10 people in an instant.
The United States said that Sunday had destroyed explosion-loaded vehicles in air strikes, thwarting an offer by the Islamic State to blow up a car bomb at Kabul Airport.
On Monday, it seems they can make a terrible mistake.
“The rocket came and crashed into a car full of children in our house,” said Aimal Ahmadi, Brother Ezmarai.
“It kills them all.” Aimeal said 10 family members died in air strikes – including his own daughter and five other children.
On Monday, when AFP visited the scene, Aimal was impatient waiting for another relative to help him regulate burial for most of his family.
“My brother and four children were killed.
I lost my little girl …
niece and nephew,” he said purpated.
“We realized the report of civilian casualties after our strike on the vehicle in Kabul,” said Captain Bill Urban, a US military spokesman, said in a statement.
Aimal cannot believe that his brother can be misinterpreted for Islamic state sympathizers, especially the operative planning of a deadly car bomb attack.
Ezmarai is an engineer who works with non-governmental organizations – A Afghan citizen who tries to meet the needs of a passionate time.
The US nerve was frayed because a suicide bomber triggered a massive explosion at the entrance to the airport on Thursday, because the big crowd called out in hopes of getting one of the final evacuation flights from Afghanistan.
Nearly 100 Afghans were killed, and also 13 US service members – just a few days before the last American soldier withdrew from the country on Monday night.
Against the background, US intelligence has warned another attack that will soon occur, and on Sunday the US military said it had stopped it before it happened.
“We still assess the results of this strike, which we know disturbing the threat of Isis-K which will soon occur at the airport,” said Urban Sunday, using an acronym for the Afghan branch of the Islamic State group.
“We know that there is a substantial and strong explosion then resulting from the destruction of the vehicle, showing a large number of explosives inside which might have caused additional victims,” he continued.
“It is not clear what might happen, and we are investigating further.” His death was among the latter reported before the US last troops flew out of Afghanistan on Tuesday, after a brutal 20-year war.
More than 38,000 civilians were killed between 2009 and the end of 2020, according to the UN assistance mission in Afghanistan, which began systematically recorded civilian casualties in 2009.
More than 70,000 others were injured in the same period.
When locals heard the explosion in the neighborhood, they quickly came to see what help they could offer.
“All the children were killed in the car, adults were killed outside.
The car caught fire – we could hardly find the body part,” said One, named Sabir.
“We will be very sad with the potential loss of innocent life,” US spokesman said in the statement.
But those words pounded for other neighbors, Rashid Noori.
“Taliban killed us, killed us and America killed us,” he said.
“Do they all think our children are terrorists?”
