LONDON: The opening of India Rohit Sharma on Saturday surpassed the record former Skipper Rahul Dravid about hitting most of the hundreds of internationals in England by an Indian Batsman.
Rohit achieved achievements during the fourth test that was ongoing against England here at Kennington Oval on the third day of the second match of this series.
Rohit reached tons of tests abroad first on Saturday to lead the Indian comeback into the fourth test after the visitors were folded for 191 in the first round.
Rohit now scored nine tons in England while Dravid had eight centuries in this country.
Interestingly, eight of the last nine tons of Rohit in the UK have come since the beginning of 2018.
Overall, legendary Batsman Donald Bradman has the most (11) tons in the UK among the visiting crickets.
Meanwhile, Rohit is the Cricketer of the first visit to hit tons in the three formats when opening in England.
Indian Batsman also completed 3000 runs in the longest game format on Saturday.
In the match, Rohit and Cheteshwar Pujara’s 153-Run Stand for the second goal allowed India to get a dominant position on day 3 of the ongoing fourth test.
On the stump, Indian scores read 270/3 – the 171 lead run with seven nostes in the bag on the second essay.
For visitors, Virat Kohli (22 *) and Ravindra Jadeja (9 *) are on folds.
