Hyderabad: The day after Revanth Reddy’s announcement as President of the New Pradesh Congress Committee, disagreement for the appointment continued to shake the party.
Match and MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Sunday claims that there is no recognition in the party for Congress activists and will soon become like TTDP in the future.
Speaking to reporters after returning from New Delhi, Venkat Reddy said he would not go to Gandhi Bhavan (Congress office in Hyderabad).
“I want to know about the promise of PCC (president) after going to Delhi.
It happens like cash-for-vote (scam), post PCC for sale.
I will immediately expose the evidence,” MP said and added that he would be locked up in the district segment and parliament.
Venkat Reddy shows that his political future will be decided by his colleagues.
“I will hold back to criticize Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
Some TDP leaders (signaling Revanth) tried to meet me but I told them to me,” he said.
Venkat Reddy is considered a strong candidate for the position of PCC Head with Revanth Reddy.
The source close to Revanth Reddy says the new PCC president will try to bring everyone on the ship and add that while some disturbances are expected, it is unfair to talk about them openly.
“It is very inappropriate to criticize the decisions taken by our leaders Sonia Gandhi and Manickam Tagore, an honest leader who presents the situation with the top brass,” said a Revanth Reddy source.
Sparring Venkat Reddy’s claim, President of the New TPCC Work Mahesh Goud said MP had violated the party discipline code.
“He must pull his comment, if not, the party will take action against him,” said Goud.
The source said that Venkat Reddy’s clipping spoke against the appointment of Revanth Reddy was sent to AICC Top Brass.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Party Election Steering Committee, Marri Shashidhar Reddy resigned from his position.
While he did not stop at the party, it was claimed that his resignation was protest over the appointment of Revanth Reddy.
However, senior officials of the Shabbir Ali party, who were also said were not happy for the appointment, said that Revanth would talk to other leaders who were also unhappy for the appointment, including K Laxma Reddy who had resigned from the party on Saturday.
