Mumbai: Division Mumbai Central Railway has managed to save the lives of 47 passengers at various stations in 2021 as part of the Jeevan Rakshak mission, with the highest cases reported at the busiest station such as Kalyan and omelet.
CR spokesman said, “Of the 47 saving lives, 11 cases were saved at Kalyan Station, 10 cases were saved on the omelet, 6 at Thane, 4 on LTT, 3 in Panvel, respectively in Kurla and Vadala Road, 1 respectively In Turbhe., Titwala, Roha, Kasara, Domb, Ghatkopar, Byculla, Diva and the main CSMT station.
Most of them are saved during long-range trains to the dormitory or de-dormitory.

In another incident, RPF Constable R Meena when performing a platform duty at Panvel Station on December 17 saw a passenger of a woman Gyan Devi slipped and fell between the train and platform while trying to take the train.
He acted immediately pulling passengers to a safe place and saving his life.
